Leonardo da Vinci is the greatest painter
of all time. Along with this, he was also an artist, writer, engineer,
inventor, musician, sculptor, polymath, mathematician, architect, geologist and
so on. If such a great person has spent such long time in making a painting,
then there must be something special in it. Because
of this desire, scientists and explorers tried to learn and understand the hidden
Monalisa painting secrets and gave different theories about this
painting. So let’s explore that theories and Monalisa painting secrets.
Top 5 Monalisa Painting Secrets
1. Who is Monalisa ?
This
is most mysterious question in the Monalisa painting secrets. The truth
of who is the woman of the mysterious painting of Leonardo da Vinci could not
be known till date. Even Da Vinci has not mentioned anything about Monalisa in
any of his works. Some people believe that this painting is of Leonardo da
Vinci's mother whereas according to another theory, this painting is of
Leonardo da Vinci himself. In the painting, Da Vinci portrays himself as a
woman.
According to a letter founded in 2005, Francesco del Giocondo, a friend
of Leonardo da Vinci, asked Da Vinci to make a painting of his wife Mona
Gherardini (also known as Lisa del Giocondo) . It is said that Leonardo Da
Vinci painted Mona Gherardini's painting, but because da Vinci did not like
Mona Gharardini's face much, he made a new picture over Mona Gherardini's
painting and named it Monalisa. Therefore, people believe that this painting of
Monalisa is of Mona Gherardini. The truth came to light when it was revealed
that the letter was written when Leonardo da Vinci started making Monalisa's
painting, i.e. in 2003. Personally, I do not claim that Monalisa's painting is
of Mona Gherardini because in fact, Mona Gherardini's face is very different
from Monalisa's face. As such it is still one of the main Monalisa painting
secrets.
2. Monalisa's Mysterious Smile
This
is also one of the main Monalisa painting secrets. After looking
carefully at Monalisa's painting, it was found that Monalisa's smile changes
when viewed from different angles. According to a survey, Monalisa appears to
be smiling from a distance and this smile disappears when viewed from a short
distance. She looks sad on seeing Monalisa's lips carefully. It is believed
that this is due to a slight compression on both the ends of his lips.
According to a scientist, we see this due to the absence of two teeth above
Monalisa. It is said that Leonardo da Vinci took 12 years to make Monalisa's
lips only. In the year 2020, a neuro scientist said that Monalisa's smile does
not change, but the viewer's mind changes. He said that Monalisa will look like
as you want to see her.

3. Hidden Message in Monalisa Painting
According
to a theory, Leonardo da Vinci has hidden a message in the Italian language in
his painting that is "LA RISPOSTA SI TROVA QUI" which means "The
answer is here". However, people believed this when a website claimed that
an alien is hidden in that painting. According to this website, after linking
the real and mirror image of Monalisa from the left end, a picture of an alien
appears in it. The thing to think about is that the alien was found next to the
one where those words were written. These Monalisa painting secrets
still surprise the scientists.
4. Journey of Monalisa Painting
As we
know, Leonardo da Vinci created Monalisa painting by 1519 and Da Vinci died as
well. In 1530, this painting was shown in a semi public art gallery in
Fontainebleau. For a short time, this painting remained in the room of a French
ruler Napolean Bonapart.
In 1797, this painting was found at the Louvre Museum
in Paris. But the thing to think is that no one knows how this painting came
there. This is also one of the monalisa painting secrets. After this, on
21 August 1911, painting was stolen from the museum. You will be surprised to
know that another famous painter Pablo Picasso was accused of stealing the
painting. But after investigation, this charge was dropped from him.
The
painting was stolen by Vincenzo Perugia, an employee of that museum. He was a
patriotic citizen of Italy. This was revealed when he was going to sell the
painting to the director of a famous museum in Italy. He did this because he
believed that this painting was made by the great Italian painter Leonardo da
Vinci, so it should be shown in the Museum of Italy. He was briefly jailed for this theft but in Italy
he was respected for his patriotism.
5. Monna Lisa
The
real name of Monalisa is Monna Lisa which means 'My Lady'. Many people tried to
destroy this painting of Monalisa by throwing acid and hitting it with stones.
After all this Monalisa painting was kept in even more security and even today
this painting is kept safe in Louvre Museum. Apart from this, there are many
fans of Monalisa. Many can even die for her mysterious smile and many have died.
